Cathy joined the Health Foundation as Deputy Director of Communications in November 2009. She has led the communications team since December 2012 and in March 2022 became Director of Strategy.

Previously Cathy was Head of Public and Corporate Affairs for the NHS programme of reform, Healthcare for London. Projects she worked on included leading the public affairs and stakeholder engagement for the consultation on improvements to London’s stroke and major trauma services. Prior to this, she was Public Affairs Manager at the General Medical Council where she managed parliamentary and political engagement for the professional regulator.

Cathy has also worked for Harcourt Public Affairs, Dods and DeHavilland. She has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
